Active Ingredients:

  • Loratadine

Therapeutic actions: Larano(Loratadine) is an antihistamine medication that selectively blocks the peripheral H-1 histamine. Histamine is an mediator that is released into the blood as a result of body's reaction to the foreign substances(allergens). Histamine binds to H1 receptors triggering a certain number of chemical reactions, that lead to symptoms. By blocking H-1 histamine receptors Loratadine eliminates the related to histamine(sneezing, a runny nose ,watery eyes, nasal congestion)

Anti allergic effects occurs in 30 minutes after the application of Loratadine and reaches the maximal concentration in 8-12 hours. Therapeutic effect of Loratadine lasts 24 hours.

Loratadine and its metabolites do not affect CNS, do not exert sedative and anticholinergic action.

Indications: Loratadine is used to treat:

  • Seasonal and all year-round allergic rhinitis(elimination the symptoms- nose obstruction, nasal congestion, itching in the nose and eyes)
  • Allergic conjunctivitis
  • Chronic hives

Contraindications and cautions: You should not use Loratadine in the following conditions:

  • Hypersensitivity to Loratadine
  • in infants
  • Liver diseases(Liver failure)
  • Kidney diseases(kidney failure)

Use Lorano with caution in malabsorbtion syndrome.
