Drug name: Ranferon

Therapeutic actions: Ranferon is a combined antianemic preparation which is used orally. The preparation contains vital vitamins and minerals that are necessary for normal haemopoietic and whole organism functioning.

Indications: Ranferon is used in treatment and prophylaxis of:

Iron deficient anemia
Latent iron deficiency in women during pregnancy and lactation period
Prophylaxis of iron deficiency in hemorrhage, regular donorship
Period of iron need during

Active growth in children
Insufficient nutrition
Chronic gastritis with secretory insufficiency
Conditions after gastric resection
Decreased immune function in adults and children during infectious disease

Contraindications and cautions: The preparation should not be used in cases of:

Belated skin porphyry
Acute inflammatory intestinal disease
Hypo-, aplastic and hemolytic anemia
Peptic ulcer in acute phase
Hemochromatosis
Hemosiderosis
Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation

The drug must be used with especial caution in:

Hepatitis
Liver dysfunction
Acute kidney infections
Gastrointestinal disease
Rheumatoid arthritis
Iron metabolism disorders
Hemoglobinopathy
