Ranferon
Drug name: Ranferon
Therapeutic actions: Ranferon is a combined antianemic preparation which is used orally. The preparation contains vital vitamins and minerals that are necessary for normal haemopoietic and whole organism functioning.
Indications: Ranferon is used in treatment and prophylaxis of:- Iron deficient anemia
- Latent iron deficiency in women during pregnancy and lactation period
- Prophylaxis of iron deficiency in hemorrhage, regular donorship
- Period of iron need during
- Active growth in children
- Insufficient nutrition
- Chronic gastritis with secretory insufficiency
- Conditions after gastric resection
- Decreased immune function in adults and children during infectious disease
Contraindications and cautions: The preparation should not be used in cases of:
- Belated skin porphyry
- Acute inflammatory intestinal disease
- Hypo-, aplastic and hemolytic anemia
- Peptic ulcer in acute phase
- Hemochromatosis
- Hemosiderosis
- Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation
The drug must be used with especial caution in:
- Hepatitis
- Liver dysfunction
- Acute kidney infections
- Gastrointestinal disease
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Iron metabolism disorders
- Hemoglobinopathy
