Therapeutic actions: Alfa normix is an antibiotic that possesses bactericidal action against wide variety of bacteria. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of RNA and bacterial proteins. Irreversible binding to DNA-depending RNA-polymerase makes bacteria not possible to replicate. This is ultimately fatal for the microorganisms. Rifaximin is effective against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms that cause gastrointestinal infections.
Indications: Alfa normix is used to treat digestive system infections caused by sensitive to rifaximin bacteria.
- Acute gastrointestinal infections
- Traveller's diarrhea
- Liver encephalopathy
- Excessive growth of the bacteria in the bowel
- Mild diverticular disease of the middle intestine
- Acute intestinal inflammation
