Active Ingredients:
- Ceftriaxone
Therapeutic actions: Axone is an antibiotic which belongs to a group of called cephalosporins. The inhibits the abilities of bacteria to form cellular wall thus in later stages resulting in the death of the bacteria. The active ingredient of Axone is ceftriaxone. The drug is used for intra venal and intramuscular injections and occasionally is used in treatment of sever infections that cannot be cured by other means.
Indications: Ceftriaxone is used in treatment of the following infections:
- Gonorrhea
- Pelvic inflammation
- Meningitis
- Infections of lungs, ears, skin.
- Sepsis
- Bone and joint infections
- Abdominal infections
- As preventive measures before certain types of surgery
Contraindications and cautions: Before using Ceftriaxone be sure to consult with your doctor on the following:
