Enfexia
Drug name: Enfexia
Active Ingredients:
- Cefuroxime
Therapeutic actions: Enfexia contains the active ingredient Cefuroxime that belongs to second generation cephalosporin antibiotics. Cefuroxime exerts bactericidal action by inactivating the production of peptidoglycane that is essential protein in bacterial cell wall. Without peptidoglycane cell wall becomes unstable and bacteria die. Cefuroxime is a broad spectrum antibiotic that is effective against aerobic and anaerobic Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
Indications: Enfexia is used to treat infections caused by susceptible to Cefuroxime microorganisms:
- Airways infections(chronic bronchitis, bacterial pneumonia, lung abscess)
- ENT infections( sinusitis, tonsillitis, otitis media, pharyngitis)
- Urinary tract infections(acute and chronic pyelonephritis, cystitis)
- Soft tissue infections(erysipelas, cellulitis)
- Infections of the bones and joints(osteomyelitis, septic arthritis)
- Infections of the genitals
- Peritonitis
- Sepsis
- Meningitis
Contraindications and cautions: You should not take Cefuroxime in the following conditions:
- Known reactions to Cefuroxime or other b-lactam antibiotics.
- Liver dysfunction
- Kidney dysfunction
- Breastfeeding
Use Cefuroxim with caution in pregnancy, in children and elderly people. You should take Cefuroxim exactly during meals.
Adverse effects: There are possible side-effects associated with this that can affect individuals in different ways. If a side effect is stated here, that does not necessarily mean the fact that all people using Enfexia will experience it or any other.
- Digestive system: nausea, diarrhea, vomiting
- Blood system: anemia, leukopenia, trombocytopenia, hypogranulocytosis
