Active Ingredients:

  • Netilmicin

Therapeutic actions: Netromycin is a half-synthetic broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic. Netilmicin works by binding to 30S subunits of the Palades' granule and inhibiting the protein's synthesis. Binding to 30S subunits of the Palades' granule leads the disturbance of the genetic code reading resulting in production of the abnormal proteins. Palades' granules are broken down and lose the ability to synthesize proteins. In high dosages Netilmicin reduces the barrier function of the bacterial membrane and causes the lysis of the bacteria. Netilmicin is highly effective against Gram-negative bacteria including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp., Serratia spp., Providencia spp., Enterobacter spp., Proteus mirabilis, Proteus vulgaris, Citrobacter spp., Morganella morganii, Aeromonas spp., Neisseria gonorrhoeae, spp., Shigella spp and some strains of Gram-positive microorganisms((Staphylococcus spp, Streptococcus spp.)

Indications: Netromycin is used to treat infectious diseases caused by sensitive to microorganisms bacteria:

  • Bacteriaemia, septical fever
  • Infections of the airways
  • Kidney and urinary tract infections.
  • Skin and soft tissue infections
  • Infections of the bone tissue and joints
  • Infected burns and wounds
  • Post surgical infections
  • Digestive system infections
  • Peritonitis
  • Urogenital infections(in men: urethritis, proctitis, in women: urethritis, cervicitis, proctitis)

Contraindications and cautions: Do not use this medication in to Netilmicin or other aminoglycoside antibiotics:

  • Neuritis of the auditory nerve
  • Chronic liver failure with nitremia and uremia.
  • Pregnancy
  • Breastfeeding

Talk with your health care provider prior to taking Netromycin if you experience the following conditions:

  • Myasthenia
  • Parkinson's disease
  • Botulism
  • Water deprivation
  • In infants
  • In elderly age

High dosages and prolonged use of this medication can cause severe side effects. Regularly make total analysis of the urine while taking Netromycin
