Unidox Solutab
Drug name: Unidox solutab
Active Ingredients:
- doxycycline monohydrate
Therapeutic actions: Unidox solutab contains the active ingredient doxycycline monohydrate. Doxycycline is semisynthetic tetracycline antibiotic. Doxycycline possesses a broad spectrum bacteriostatic activity. Doxycycline exerts bacteriostatic action due to inhibiting the production of proteins that are essential for bacteria to multiply. Unidox inhibits the connection of aminoacyl-tRNA-binding site with 30S subunits of the ribosome, making bacteria unable to produce these proteins. Doxycycline acts on gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms.
