Drug name: Medoflucon

Active Ingredients:

• Fluconazole

Therapeutic actions: Medoflucon belongs to a group of drugs called antifungals. IT works by inhibiting the fungal metabolism thus blocking the production of essential components of the fungal cell membrane and leads to accumulation of methyl sterols. The drug exerts fungistatic action thus stopping the spread of bacteria but against certain microorganism Fluconazole may be fungicidal depending on the dosage of the preparation.

Indications: The drug is used to treat fungal infections of the different origin in the following areas of the body:

• Yeast
• Vagina
• Mouth
• Throat
• Esophagus
• Abdominal region
• Lungs
• Blood

Sometimes the drug is also used in treatment of meningitis caused by susceptible fungal infections. The drug may also be used as substantial therapy during chemotherapy.

Contraindications and cautions: Be careful and talk to your doctor before using the medication if:

• You are allergic to any components of the preparation
• You suffer from alcohol abuse
• You have cancer
• You suffer from AIDS
• You have arrhythmia
• You have hear liver or kidney dysfunction
• You are pregnant or breastfeeding
