IVAX Diagnostics, Inc. The effect of any diseases are more severe when a person is smoking compared to those who don't. The society forbids the use of narcotics as they are illegal substances. If people use them, they soon become addicted, risking their health, sanity and sometimes even their lives. Nicotine dependence occurs much quicker than any other type of dependency to drugs. That's why cigarettes can be called legal ''drugs''. It is not easy to overcome nicotine dependence, it may take long time and great effort to fight it.
