Active Ingredients: Guaifenesinum 4.0 g in 100 ml Passit fluidum (Hyperici herbs | Passiflorae herbs | Valerianae radix | Crataegi folium cum flore | Lupuli flos | Melissae herbs | Sambuci flos) 7.75 g

Therapeutic actions: The product is a combination of extracts of herbs with sedative effect and guaiphenesine. Guaiphenesine removes fear and psychical tension and relieves skeletal (striated) muscle.

Indications: Without consulting a doctor, the product is used to treat anxiety and hyperirritability, manifested by low efficiency, fatigue, absence of mind, lack of concentration and bad mood. Besides, Novo-Passit can be used without consulting a doctor to treat mild forms of sleeplessness and headache caused by psychic tension.
Only after consulting a doctor Novo-Passit can be used in increased neuromuscular irritation of nervous origin, psychic difficulties in menopause, functional disease of gastrointestinal tract (disorder of nervous regulation of digestive tube function - e.g. irritable colon) and in itching dermal diseases (eczema, nettle-rash) caused by psychic exertion. The product can be used by adults, youths and children over 12 years. If not recommended by a doctor otherwise, 5 ml of the product are usually used 3 times a day.

Contraindications and cautions: The product must not be used in known hypersensitivity to any of its components, especially to guaiphenesine. Novo-Passit must not be administered to children under 12 years, patients with myasthenia gravis (muscle weakness) and epilepsy. Administration to patients with Diabetes mellitus and severe hepatic disease and pregnant and breastfeeding women must be justified by strong reasons.

Consult the suitability of concurrent use of Novo-Passit and other drugs with a doctor. Patients must not drive motor vehicles or operate machines when using the product.

Do not drink alcoholic beverages during the therapy.

If the symptoms of the disease do not improve within 7 days or even impair or if undesirable effects or some unusual reactions appear, consult further use of the product with a doctor.

The product contains 9 weight volume % of ethanol. Each dose contains up to 0,703 g ethanol. The product can be harmful for patients with hepatic disease, alcoholism, epilepsy, cerebral disease or brain injury, for pregnant women and children. The product can change or increase the effects of other drugs.

The product contains 13,3 - 15,1 g glucose and 13,3 and 15,1 g fructose. If recommended doses are used, every dose contains up to 1,5 g glucose and 1,5 g fructose. The product is inconvenient for patients with hereditary problems of fructose intolerance.

Consult a doctor in case of overdosage or accidental use of the product by a child.

Adverse effects: The following are some of the side effects that are known to be associated with this medicine. Because a side effect is stated here, it does not mean that all people using this medicine will experience that or any side effect.

The product is usually well tolerated. However, the following undesirable effects may rarely appear: sleeplessness, drowsiness, dizziness, fatigue, itching, rash, gastric difficulties (stomach discomfort accompanied with nausea, vomiting, convulsions, pyrosis, diarrhoea, constipation) and mild muscle weakness.
Consult further use of the product with a doctor in case of the incidence of these undesirable effects or other unusual reactions.

Interactions: Tell your doctor or pharmacist what medicines you are already taking, including those bought without a prescription and herbal medicines, before you start treatment with this medicine.

The product increases inhibitory effect of alcohol and other agents which inhibit central nervous system.
