Active Ingredients:
- oxymetazoline and volatile oils
Therapeutic actions: Nocsprei belongs to vasoconstrictive agents used in otorhinolaryngology. When nocsprei is administered in the nasal cavity, it causes the constriction of arteriols in the mucous lining of the nasal cavity. Thus, Oxymetazoline lowers edema, hyperemia, exudation, restores nasal breathing, reduces the intensity of rhinorrhea(running nose).
Volatile oils prevent the irritation of nasal mucous lining caused by oxymetazoline and protect it from excessive desiccation. Therapeutic effect of Nocsprei lasts 10-12 hours.
Indications: Nocsprei is indicated in the following conditions:
- Acute rhinitis
- Sinusitis
- Eustachitis
- Otitis media
- Allertic rhinitis
- While Rhinoscopy procedure
Nocsprei baby is intended specifically for children.
Contraindications and cautions: Nocsprei should not be used in:
- Children under 6 years of age
- Known individual intolerance to any of the medication ingredients
- Closed-angle glaucoma
- Atrophic rhinitis
- Pregnancy
- Breastfeeding
Nocsprei should be used with caution in people suffering from hypertension, coronary heart diseases, abnormal heart rhythm.
Adverse effects: There are possible side-effects associated with this medicine that can affect individuals in different ways. If a side effect is stated here, that does not necessarily mean the fact that all people using Nocsprei will experience it or any other.
The medication is usually well tolerated. In some cases itching, dryness and irritation of mucous lining in nasal cavity are observed.

Nocsprei should not be used in conjunction with other vasoconstrictive agents, MAO inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants. Timolol may impair therapeutic effect of Nocsprei.
