Fluditec
Drug name: Fluditec
Active Ingredients:
- Carbocisteine
Therapeutic actions: Fluditec(carbocisteine) is a mucolytic expectorant drug. Pharmaceutical effects of the preparations are associated with activating the enzyme called sialic transferase(ferment of the goblett cells of the bronchial mucous membrane). Carbocisteine normalizes the production of bronchial secretion, restores viscosity and elasticity of the mucous, contributes to regeneration of the mucous membrane, activates the activity of ciliated epithelium.
Indications: Fluditec is used to treat acute and chronic respiratory tract infections manifested in production of viscous sputum(spit): tracheitis, bronchitis, tracheobronchitis, bronchial asthma, multiple bronchiectasis.
Acute and chronic inflammation of the middle ear, nose and accessory sinuses of nose(rinithis, otitis media, sinusitis)
Preparation to bronchoscopy and/or bronchography.
Contraindications and cautions: You should not use Fluditec in the following conditions:
- Increased sensitivity to carbocisteine
- Peptic ulcer disease
- Chronic glomerulonephritis
- In children under 1 mouth(2% syrup for children) and under 15 years(for syrup 5%)
Fluditec should be used with caution in pregnancy ,breastfeeding and in patients who suffer from diabetes.
Adverse effects: There are possible side-effects associated with this medicine that can affect individuals in different ways. If a side effect is stated here, that does not necessarily mean the fact that all people using Fluditec will experience it or any other.
Digestive system: sometimes nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, meteorism, gastrointestinal bleedings
CNS: dizziness, fatigue, febricula
Allergic reactions: itching, hives, Quenke's edema.

Interactions: It is important to tell your doctor or pharmacist what medicines you are already taking, including those bought without a prescription and herbal medicines, before you start treatment with Fluditec. Similarly, check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking any new medication while taking this one, to ensure that the combination is safe.
In simultaneous use Fluditec increases the efficacy of glucocorticosteroids and antibacterial medications used to treat upper and lower respiratory tract infections. In simultaneous use Fluditec enhances the broncholytic effect of theophylline.
Antitussive medications impairs the activity of carbocisteine.
Additional Information: DO NOT SHARE Fluditec with others. DO NOT USE THIS MEDICINE for other health conditions. KEEP THIS PRODUCT, as well as syringes and needles, if needed during treatment, out of the reach of children. Do not reuse needles, syringes, or other materials.
