Active Ingredients:
- Prenoxdiazine
Therapeutic actions: Libexin is anti-cough preparation that works by blocking peripheral parts of the cough reflex. Prenoxdiazine does not inhibit breathing and doesn't cause drug dependence. Libexin possesses local anesthetic and broncholytic activity. In chronic bronchitis it exerts anti-inflammatory action. The duration of anti-cough effect is 3-4 hours.
Indications: Libexin is used to relieve dry cough associated with the following conditions: Acute respiratory viral infections, laryngitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis, bronchial asthma, emphysema.
Contraindications and cautions: Libexin should not be used in the following conditions:
- Increased sensitivity to any Prenoxdiazine
- Increased secretion of the mucous in airways.
Libexin should be used with caution:
- In Pregnancy
- Breastfeeding
- In children
Adverse effects: There are possible side-effects associated with this medicine that can affect individuals in different ways. If a side effect is stated here, that does not necessarily mean the fact that all people using Libexin will experience it or any other. In rare cases allergic reactions(skin rash, Quenke's edema), numbness and dryness of the mucous lining of the mouth cavity, nausea, constipation can occur.
