Drug name: Medovent
Active Ingredients:
- Ambroxol
Therapeutic actions: Ambroxol belongs to a groupm of drugs called mucolytic agents. This groups works by making the mucose in the lung thinner and easier for the patient to remove it by coughing. The sputum is removed in time but its viscosity remains on the low levels.
Indications: The drug is indicated in:
- Tracheobronchitis
- Emphysema
- Chronic lung inflammation
- Bronchitis
- Bronchospasm during asthma
If an acute form of bronchitis occurs Ambroxol is considered as insufficient treatment and should be given with antibiotics.
Contraindications and cautions: The drug should be used with caution in the following cases:
- History of allergies to mucolytics, drugs or food consult your doctor on the full contradictions
- Acute pulmonary disease
- Gastric ulceration
- Avoid use during the thirst trimester of pregnancy, consult your doctor about breastfeeding and pre-pregnancy precautions.
