Drug name: Nasonex
Active Ingredients:
- mometasone nasal
Therapeutic actions: Mometasone is a steroid drug which works by decreasing inflammation of the tissue.
Indications: The drug is used to prevent or treat the following allergic symptoms:
- Sneezing
- Runny nose
- Congestion
The drug is also used to treat nasal polyps in people after 18 years old.
Contraindications and cautions: The drug should be used after a consultation with your doctor:
- If you are allergic to any components of the preparation
- If you have glaucoma or cataracts
- If you suffer from a viral infection of the eye
- If you have any pathologic condition
- If you have ulcers in your nose
- If you had nasal surgery
The drug is in pregnancy category C. Consult your doctor before using it right before, during or after pregnancy.
