Drug name: Omega 3 plus
Therapeutic actions: Omega-3 fatty acids exert metabolic action, normalizes metabolic processes, participates in the production of the arachidonic acid, leukotriene, prostoglandins. By inhibiting inflammatory mediators the drug exerts anti-inflammatory action.
Omega 3 plus also lowers high cholesterol and lipid blood levels possessing anti-atherosclerotic action.
Omega 3 works by reducing the production of chemical called thromboxane A2. This chemical is responsible for the formation of blood clots.
The medication also causes lowering of blood pressure and possesses anti-arrhythmic action.
Indications: Omega 3 plus is approved to treat the following conditions:
- High lipid and cholesterol blood levels treatment
- Prophylaxis of atherosclerosis
- Prophylaxis of thrombosis
- Coronary heart disease treatment
- Treatment of Obliterating diseases of the lower extremities
- High blood pressure controlling
- Obesity
- Skin diseases(psoriasis, dryness of the skin, eczema)
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Hepatic steatosis
- Alcoholic hepatitis
Contraindications and cautions: Omega 3 plus should not be taken in
- known hypersensitivity to any of the medication ingredients:
- Severe liver diseases, aggravation of hepatobiliary system diseases, chronic cholecystitis, pancreatitis
- Bleedings of unknown origin
- Severe trauma and surgical interventions
Omega 3 plus should be used with caution in pregnancy and breastfeeding

- Vitamins(Vitamin B12, vitamin E, ascorbic acid, panthothenic acid, thiamine, riboflavin, pyridoxin)
- Blood thinners(warfarin)
