Active Ingredients:

  • povidone-iodine + allantoin

Therapeutic actions: Jox is a broad spectrum medication with antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory action for the local application in ENT diseases. Jox is effective against bacteria, viruses, fungi and protozoa.

Indications: Jox is used to treat infectious-inflammatory diseases of the mouth cavity and pharynx.

Contraindications and cautions: Jox should not be used in the following conditions:

  • Hyperthyroidism
  • Heart failure
  • Duhring's disease
  • concomitant use of radioiodine
  • Children under 8 years old
  • Pregnancy
  • Breasfeeding
  • Increased sensitivity to iodine or allantoin.

Do not inhale or swallow this medication. Jox is used only locally.

Adverse effects: There are possible side-effects associated with this medicine that can affect individuals in different ways. If a side effect is stated here, that does not necessarily mean the fact that all people using Jox will experience it or any other.

In rare cases: allergic reactions such as skin rash and itching

In prolonged use(more than 7-10 days) iodine poisoning(metal taste, increased salivation, eye and larynx edema) is observed.
