Active Ingredients:

  • Benzalconium chloride

Therapeutic actions: Erotex contains the active ingredient benzalconium chloride. Benzalconium is a birthcontrol medication that exerts antiseptic and spermicidal action. Bactericidal action is associated with ability of benzalconium chloride to damage the spermatazoids' membrane. This results in incapability for the spermotozoid to fertilize the egg. Erotex is also effective against wide variety of bacteria, including Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia spp., Trichomonas vaginalis, Herpes type 2, Staphylococcus aureus, Gardnerelia vaginalis, Candida albicans, Haernophilus and Treponema pallidum. The endurance of contraceptive action lasts nearly 4 hours.

Indications: The drug is used for local contraception. On any other possible indications please consult your doctor.

Contraindications and cautions:

  • You should not use this medication if you have hypersensitivity or allergy to benzalconium chloride.
  • Use Erotex with caution in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Warning!

  • Use Erotex vaginal suppositories 5 minutes before the sexual intercourse.
  • Do not use douche within 4 hours after the sexual intercourse while taking Erotex.
