Ticveol
Drug name: Ticveol
Active Ingredients:
- Cucurbitae semenis oleum(pumpkin oil)
Therapeutic actions: Ticveol is a preparation of plant origin that exerts hepatoprotective, bile-expelling, antiulcer, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, metabolic and antiatherosclerotic action. In prolonged use Ticveol possesses lipid-lowering action. Hepatoprotective effect is related to membrane stabilizing properties and fast restoration of the damaged liver cells.
Indications: Ticveol is indicated in the following conditions:
- Hyperlipidemia IIa and IIb type
- Prophylaxis of atherosclerosis
- Liver diseases(hepatitis A, chronic hepatitis, toxic liver damage, hepatic steatosis, liver cirrhosis)
- Chronic cholecystitis
- Dyskinesia of the bile passages
- Prophylaxis of cholelithiasis
Ticveol oil can be used locally in:
- Cervical erosion
- Colpitis
- Endocervicitis
- Hemorrhoid
- Dermatitis, burns, eczema, psoriasis
- Diathesis
- Parodontosis
Contraindications and cautions: Ticveol should not be used in individual intolerance to pumpkin oil Ticveol should be used with caution in
- gastric and peptic ulcers
- calculous cholecystitis
- children
- pregnancy
- breastfeeding
Adverse effects: There are possible side-effects associated with this medicine that can affect individuals in different ways. If a side effect is stated here, that does not necessarily mean the fact that all people using Ticveol will experience it or any other.
The most common are: skin allergic reactions(skin rash, itching)
In prolonged use diarrhea and stomach pain are also possible.
