Drug name: Nimosul
Active Ingredients:
- Nimesulid
Therapeutic actions: Nimesulid belongs to a group of drugs called NSAID's and exerts anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effect. The drug selectively inhibits COX-2 and suppresses synthesis of prostaglandins in the inflamed region. Inb long-term treatment the drug does not accumulate in the body.
Indications: Nimosul is indicated in treatment of the following:
- Osteoarthritis
- Osteoarthrosis
- Bursitis
- tendinitis
- Moderate pain syndrome
- Inflammatory processes
Contraindications and cautions: The drug is not recommended in the following conditions:
- Hypersensitivity to any components of the preparation
- Severe gastro-intestinal bleeding
- Stomach and duodenal ulcer
- Severe liver and renal disease
- Pregnancy
- Lactation
The drug should be used with caution in:
- Old patients
- Cardiovascular disease
- Hypertension
- Hemorrhage predisposition
- Renal dysfunctions

- CNS: headache, vertigo, somnolence
- Cardiovascular system: thrombocytopenia

- Urogenital disease: oliguria
- Allergic reactions: exanthema, erythema, rash.
