Drug name: Castor oil

Therapeutic actions: The castor oil is not changed in the stomach and does not irritate it, but in the bowels under the action of alkaline medium and ferment of lipase castor oil is split into glycerin, ricinic acid and its salts, which irritate the receptors of bowels and strengthen peristalsis, the reflector reduction of the womb's musculature is also observed.
