Drug name: Choliver
Active Ingredients:
- Bile extract,
- Curcuma longa(Turmeric) extract and Cynara scolymus(Artichoke) extract
Therapeutic actions: Therapeutic effect of Choliver is caused by the biologically active substances that are constituents of the bile's extract and Turmeric and Artichoke's extracts. Bile acids increase the bile's secretion, resulting in improvement of lipids', cholesterol and vitamins A, D, E and K absorption.
Artichoke possesses the bile-expelling and diuretic properties, decreases the content of blood urea nitrogen(BUN), normalizes the metabolism, exerts hepatoprotective action, improves the elimination of the toxic substances.
Curcuma longa(Turmeric) stimulates the bile's production, possesses antiulcer action, regulates the digestive process, decreases cholesterol blood levels, exerts antibacterial effects.
Indications: Choliver is used to treat the following conditions:
- Disorders of the hepatobiliary system(chronic hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, Jaundice)
- Cholecystitis, cholangotis
- Dyskinesia of the bile passages
- Oliguria caused by heart failure and liver cirrhosis
- Stomach and intestinal ulcers
- Constipation caused by intestinal atony
Contraindications and cautions: You should not use Choliver if:
- you have obstructive Jaundice
- you have acute hepatitis, liver failure or liver dystrophy
- you have hypersensitivity or allergy to any of Choliver active ingredients
You should talk with your health care provider prior to taking Choliver if you experience the following conditions:
- Pregnancy
- Breastfeeding
Use Choliver with caution in children under 12 years old.
