Drug name: Hepabene
Active Ingredients:
- Extracts from fumitory herb and holy thistle(Silybum marianum)
Therapeutic actions: Hepabene is a hepatoprotective drug of a plant origin. Extract of fumitory herb normalizes the amounts of secreted bile and lowers the tonus of the Oddi's sphincter; causes spasmolytic effect and lightens the bile's entry into the bowel.
Extract of Silybum marianum exerts hepatoprotective and antioxidant action due to inactivating free radicals in the liver. It also posseses membrane-stabilizing activity, stimulates the protein production, contributes to regeneration of the liver cells.
Indications: Hepabene is used in the complex treatment of the following diseases:
- Dyskinesia of the bile passages
- Chronic hepatitis
- Chronic and toxic liver damage
Contraindications and cautions: You should not take Hepabene if any of the following conditions apply to you:
- Severe liver inflammatory diseases
- Severe diseases of the bile passages
- Individual intolerance of any of the medication active ingredients
Use Hepabene only under your health care provider supervision if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
