Mechanical(manual) blood pressure meter or sphygmomanometer is a device that measures blood pressure. Manual blood pressure meter always comprises an inflatable cuff to restrict blood flow, and a mechanical manometer that indicates the pressure. Manual sphygmomanometer is used in conjunction with a stethoscope. Stethoscope makes possible to listen blood flow in the arteries and veins. This allows to determine systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
