Drug name: Instenon
Active Ingredients:
- Etamivan and Etofylline,
- Hexobendine
Therapeutic actions: Instenon is a combine medication that improves brain circulation. Therapeutic effect is associated with its active ingredients. Etamivan enhances adaptive capability of reticular formation in brain stem. Due to activating reticular formation, Etamivan normalizes functional activity of neural cortex complexes and infracortical structures.
Hexobendine increases glucose and oxygen utilization due to activating anaerobic glycolysis. Hexobendine stabilizes physiological mechanisms of autoregulation in cerebral and cordial circulation.
Etofylline activates cordial metabolism and increases cardiac output.
Indications:
- Vascular brain diseases
- Consequences of insufficient blood circulation
- Cerebrovascular insufficiency
- Postapoplectic conditions
- Dizziness caused by functional brain disorders
Contraindications and cautions: Instenon should not be used in the following conditions:
- Increased intracranial pressure.
- Intracerebral bleedings
- Seizures
- Known hypersensitivity or allergy to any of the medication active ingredients
- Pregnancy
- Breastfeeding

- Instenon may increase the anti-platelet effects of acetyl salicylic acid(Aspirin)
- Coffeine may reduce therapeutic effect of Instenon.
