Drug name: Nootropil
Therapeutic actions: Nootropil is found to increase blood flow and oxygen consumption by the brain tissue. There for the action of Nootopil consists in facilitating the movement of information between the brain's hemispheres, improves acetylcholines function via muscarinic cholinergic receptors which take their part in the memory process. Also Nootopil may have an impact on the NMDA glutamate receptors that are involved in memory and learning processes.
Indications: Nootropil is a cerebral function regulating drug which slows down brain aging, enhances cognition and memory, increases oxygen and blood flow to the brain, improves Alzheimer's, Down's Syndrome, dyslexia and dementia.
Contraindications and cautions: Nootoropil is not recommended in patients with renal, liver impairment, to those younger then 16, to patients with cerebral haemorrhage and to those with hypersensitivity to pyrolidone derivatives or piracetam.
Not to be used in:
- Pregnancy
- Breastfeeding
- Moderate to severely decreased liver function
- Severely decreased kidney function
This medicine is not recommended to use if you are allergic to any of it's ingridients. You should inform your local health care provider if an allergy ever took place. If you feel an allergic reaction stop using your medicine and report it to your doctor immediately.
Adverse effects: There are possible side-effects associated with this medicine that can affect individuals in different ways. If a side effect is stated here, that does not necessarily mean the fact that all people using Nootropil will experience it or any other.
During clinical trials Nootropil has been shown to posses few side effects which can be described as mild or transient amongst them are: headache, depression, skin rashes, weight gain, nervousness, sleepiness or insomnia. Low tolerance of alcohol if mixed.
