Drug name: Dicynon
Active Ingredients:
- etamsylate
Therapeutic actions: Dicynon contains the active ingredient etamsylate that exerts hemostatic, antihemorrhagic and angioprotective action. Dicynon normalizes the permeability of the vascular cell wall. Dicynon exerts the moderate hemostatic action due to activating thromboplastin formation. Dicynon stimulates the physiological mechanism of the coagulative blood system.
Indications: Dicynon is indicated in the following conditions:
- Prophylaxis of capillary bleedings during surgical interventions
- Therapy of hemorrhagic diathesis
- Blood diseases associated with hemorrhagic syndrome
- Therapy of metro-menorrhagia
- Therapy of microangiopathy
- Urgent therapy in the complex treatment in internal bleedings
As angioprotector:
- Varicose syndrome
- Diabetic retinopathy
- Hepatitis and liver cirrhosis
- Chronic nephritis
- Allergic disease
- Exudative diathesis
- Tumors
- Vascular infection
- Atherosclerosis, hypertension, obesity, diabetis
Contraindications and cautions: Dicynon should not be used in known hypersensitivity to any of the medication active ingredients
Dicynon should not be used in patients with bleedings caused by blood-thinners
It is not recommended to use Dicynon in patients with thrombosis, embolia in anamnesis, angina and atrial fibrillation.

In some cases heartburn, headache, dizziness, hot flushing are possible.
