No-Spa
Drug name: NO-SPA
Active Ingredients:
- Drotaverine hydrochloride
Therapeutic actions: Drotaverine hydrochloride is an isoquinoline spasmolytic. Drotaverine exerts antispasmodic action on the smooth muscle due to inhibiting the activity of the enzyme called phosphodiesterase IV and, thus, increasing the concentration of adenosine cyclic phosphate(cyclo-AMP). Cyclo-AMP inactivates myosin-light-chain kinase resulting in relaxation of the smooth muscle.
