Tempanginol
Drug name: Tempanginol
Active Ingredients:
- Metamizole sodium and Triacetonamino-4-toluenesulfonate
Therapeutic actions: Tempanginol is a combine medication that contains non-steroid anti-inflammatory drug metamizole sodium and anxiolytic Triacetonamino-4-toluenesulfonate. Tempanginol possesses analgesic, anti-pyretic, anti-inflammatory and sedative action.
Indications:
- Moderate and low-grade pain syndrome: headache, toothache, neuralgia, radicular syndrome, myalgia, pain in the joints, dysmenorrhea.
- In combination with spasmolytic medications in liver, kidney and intestinal colics.
- Fever associated with inflammatory/infectious diseases
Contraindications and cautions: Tempanginol should not be used in:
- Hypersensitivity to metamizole sodium, pyrazolones and Triacetonamino-4-toluenesulfonate
- Liver and kidney insufficiency
- Heart failure
- Arterial hypotension
- Bronchial asthma
- Agranulocytosis
- Hemolytic anemia associated with G6PD insufficiency
- Pregnancy
- Breastfeeding
- Children under 14 years of age
Do not drive or operate any machinery while taking Tempanginol

- CNS:dry mouth, dizziness, headache, hallucinations
- Cardiovascular system: hypotension, increased heart rate
- Hematopoietic system:Agranulocytosis, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia
- Gastrointestinal tract: abdominal pain, cholestasis, jaundice, increased blood levels of transaminase, hyperbilirubinemia.
- Respiratory system: addiction to bronchospasm, induction of asthmatic attack
- Urinary tract: kidney dysfunction
- Allergic reactions: skin rash, Quinke's edema, anaphylactic shock.

- NSAID's may enhance the effects of Tempanginol
- Tricyclic antidepressants, oral birth control pills, allopurinol inhibits the metabolism of metamizole and increase its toxicity.
- Barbiturates and phenybutazone impair the effect of metamizole
- Metamizole lowers cyclosporine blood levels
- Tempanginol increases the effects of oral anti-diabetic drugs, blood thinners(anticoagulants), corticosteroids and indometacin.
