Drug name: Butadion

Active Ingredients:

Phenylbutazone

Therapeutic actions: Butadion(Phenylbutazone) is anti-inflammatory drug for the local application.

Butadion works by blocking the production of inflammatory mediators and ,thus, reduces the intensity of phlogotic processes of the soft tissue.

Indications: Butadion is used to treat the following conditions:

Dermatitis
Burns 1 and 2 degree
Inflammation of the skin caused by intramuscular and intravenous injections
Insect bites
Inflammation of the hemorrhoidal boluses
Superficial thrombophlebitis
Traumatic injuries of the soft tissue
Arthritis and sunovitis of a different aetiology
Ostreoarthrosis, tendinitis, tendovaginitis

Contraindications and cautions:

Do not apply Butadion ointment in the following conditions:

Trophical skin damages of the lower leg
Eczema
Hypersensitivity or allergy to Phenylbutazone or other NSAID's
Pregnancy
Breastfeeding

Do not use Butadion ointment in the treatment of thrombophlebitis of the deep veins

Regularly control your blood levels while applying this ointment

In rare cases skin allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching or hives are possible
