Therapeutic actions:
Controloc contains the active ingredient pantoprazole that belongs to a group of medications called proton pump inhibitors. By blocking proton pump Controloc prevents the production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach by the parietal cells. This leads to lowering the symptoms associated with stomach hyperacidity. Therapeutic effect of the medication occuras in 1 hour and is achieved maximum in 2-4 hours. In stomach and duodenal ulcers associated with Helicobacter pylori, Controloc increases the sensitivity of the microorganisms to antibiotics. Controloc does not affect the motility of the digestive system.Indications: Controloc is approved to treat the following conditions:
- Aggravation of stomach and duodenal ulcers, erosive gastritis
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease
- Erosive reflux esophagitis
- Zollinger-Ellison syndrome
- Treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection in combination with antibacterial preparations
- Treatment and prophylaxis of stress ulcers as well as their complications such as bleedings, perforations, penetrations.
Contraindications and cautions:
Controloc should not be taken in the following conditions:- Dyspepsia of the neurotic genesis
- Hypersensitivity to any component of the medication
- Pregnancy
- Breastfeeding
- The medication should be used with caution in liver and kidney dysfunctions, children.

- Common Controloc side effects include: stomach pain, diarrhea, constipation, meteorism, headache
- Rare Controloc side effects include: nausea, vomiting, dizziness, vision problems, allergic reactions
- Very rare Controloc side effects: dry mouth, arthralgia, depression, hallucination, confusion
