Drug name: Dicetel
Therapeutic actions: Dicetel belongs to a group of medicines called gastrointestinal spasmolytics.
It works by blocking Ca2+ channels based in smooth muscles of the internals(especially of small and large bowel and bile passages). Dicetel decreases secretion of the hydrochloric acid and enhances the clearing fumction of the stomach.
Indications: Dicetel is used as spasmolytic remedy for pain relief and for motility improvements in the following conditions: cholecystitis, cholangitis, gastritis, duodenitis, esophagitis, enteritis, pylorospasm, chololithiasis, bellyache, biliary colic, dyskinesia of the bile passages,postcholecystectomy syndrome.
Dicetel is highly effective in removal the symptoms related to irritable bowel syndrome(IBS) that may include: Abdominal pain, diarrhoea, constipation, abdominal distension or flatulence, rectal mucus, sensation of incomplete evacuation.
Contraindications and cautions:
Dicetel should not be used in hypersensitivity or allergy to Pinaverium Bromide. It also should be taken with caution in pregnancy, lactation and in children.
It is not recommended to take Dicetel before sleep.
