Drug name: Duspatalin
Therapeutic actions: The active ingredient of Duspatalin mebeverine belongs to a group of medications called spasmolytics with myotropic activity. Mebeverine selectively affects the smooth muscles of the Digestive system. Duspatalin eliminates spams without affecting intestinal motility.
Indications: In adults Duspatalin is used to eliminate spasms of the gastrointestinal tract associated with intestinal colic, biliary colic, irritable bowel syndrome(IBS) In children Duspatalin is indicated to treat functional disorders of the digestive system related to dyspepsia and abdominal pain.
Contraindications and cautions: Duspatalin should not be taken in previous hypersensitivity to mebeverine. It is also contraindicated in pregnancy and should be used with caution in breastfeeding.
Adverse effects: There are possible side-effects associated with this medicine that can affect individuals in different ways. If a side effect is stated here, that does not necessarily mean the fact that all people using Duspatalin will experience it or any other. In rare cases dizziness is observed.
