Drug name: Neo-penotran
Active Ingredients:
- Metronidazole,
- Miconazole Nitrate
Therapeutic actions: Neo-penotran is a combined preparation that is used for treatment of bacterial and fungi infection of the vagina. Metronidazole is used to fight aerobic bacteria and different protozoa infection and Miconazole is used in treatment of fungi. Miconazole when used vaginally is active against Candida albicans.
Indications: Vaginitis caused by Trichomonas vaginalis and fungi.
Contraindications and cautions: The preparation should not be used during pregnancy and if cases of hypersensitivity have been registered with the components of the drug or other antibyotics.
It is forbidden to drink alcohol during treatment. And is recommended to avoid sexual intercourse. Vaginal tablets are mostly effective if combined with oral forms of Metronidazole.
Adverse effects: There are possible side-effects associated with this medicine that can affect individuals in different ways. If a side effect is stated here, that does not necessarily mean the fact that all people using Neo-penotran will experience it or any other.
Local reactions include: burning, itching, irritation of the mucous membrane.
